Generally a lack of good facilitation skills/collaboration—needing more guidance (much like that provided here) on how to work together and create objectives.

Thank you for this insightful piece! The emphasis on community-building around alternative grading practices is both timely and crucial. As educators, we often focus on the technical aspects of grading reform—rubrics, ungrading, standards-based grading—but the social and cultural dimensions are equally, if not more, important. Without a supportive community, even the most well-designed grading systems can falter. how do you all handle security? I am using LastPass https://lastpass.pissedconsumer.com/review.html and it provides peace of mind knowing my data and grading information is secure. With so much sensitive student data involved, using a tool is crucial for me.
