Do you know of anyone who answered your call to start blogging or otherwise reporting on their efforts? I'm looking for resources as I make my first foray into ungrading for a History of Math course this fall.
The only one I know of for sure, is Emily Pitts-Donohoe who now writes at Unmaking the Grade: https://emilypittsdonahoe.substack.com/. There could be others!
I’m intrigued. I also went to one of the few US colleges where there have never been grades on anything ever. Students develop a long-form transcript ‘for grad school’ or employment or whatever. It includes narrative course evaluations, self-assessments, commentaries from interlocutors, etc. I wonder whether any currently-grading institutions will ever sustain revisions to their practices and get rid of grades entirely.
